Reptilite is a high-quality, natural calcium sand substrate specially developed for the species-appropriate keeping of desert and semi-desert reptiles as well as various invertebrates. It is ideal for terrarium inhabitants such as bearded dragons, leopard geckos, tortoises, snakes, chameleons, scorpions, and tarantulas.
Natural compositionCaribSea Reptilite is made from pure aragonite, the most soluble form of calcium carbonate. This material is particularly valuable as it is valued by professional breeders and hobbyists alike. It contains no artificial colors, additives, or chemicals, making it completely safe for your animals.
Gentle and safeThe naturally rounded, spherical grains prevent injuries and scratches – both to the sensitive skin and in the digestive tract of the animals. This minimizes the risk of dangerous blockages caused by swallowing, as aragonite is more easily absorbed by the body than conventional quartz sand.
Optimal environmental conditionsReptilite supports natural burrowing behavior and promotes the well-being of the animals. It offers an authentic look and creates a natural desert climate in the terrarium. The various colors available (e.g., Baja Tan, Natural, Desert Rose, Aztec Gold, Smokey Sands) allow for individual design of the habitat.
VersatileThe substrate is suitable for numerous reptile and invertebrate species that originate from dry or semi-dry habitats. It can be used as the sole substrate or in combination with other substrates.
