Technical specifications

The drain has been developed for aquariums with filter basins and enables a quiet and safe return flow of water into the sump.

The ReefSilent drain is designed for a pump capacity of maximum 3,000 litres per hour. The drain pipe should not be less than 50 mm in diameter for maximum and silent operation.

A PVC reduction down to 40 mm is included for the use of a weaker pump or smaller pipe dimension. To achieve quiet operation even with a weaker pump, it may be necessary to reduce the air supply at the hose nozzle.
