Nyos® NITRATE MINUS promotes the growth of nitrate-reducing bacteria. This allows nitrate to be biologically reduced to the detection limit. Phosphate is also reduced to a small extent by skimming off bacterial films.

Standard dosage: 10 ml/1,000 liters daily.
If nitrate is below target: halve dose (5 ml/1,000 liters daily) or discontinue use.
If nitrate is significantly above target or decreasing too slowly: double the dose (20 ml/1,000 liters daily).

Nyos recommends a nitrate value of 5-15 mg/l.
If possible, dose daily using a dosing pump.
Monitor the nitrate content weekly and adjust the dosage as described if necessary.
